EXPERIENCED ACCESSIBILITY TRAINING, TESTING, AND CONSULTING
Lakeside Accessibility LLC offers a variety of vision-related assistive technology services, computer and smart technology training, accessibility testing, and consulting services. Based in Cleveland, we offer services in-person throughout northeast Ohio and remotely via computer.
We begin with an assessment to determine what adaptations and assistive technology will meet your needs. Then a comprehensive computer skills assessment is performed. The results are documented in a clear and concise report, which becomes your syllabus. Our training focus is on what you need, not a predetermined curriculum. Whether you need typing training or want to boost your skills, we can help you meet your goals. Our aim is to help you regain and maintain independence and access.
Is your smartphone or tablet sitting around like an expensive paperweight? We can help by working with you to adapt your phone to meet your needs. We also provide training on the new settings, features, and apps that matter to you.
Are vision changes making work challenging? We can discuss your needs and potential accommodations. We can also work with your employer to implement recommendations, provide training, and on-demand consulting.
Lakeside Accessibility's instructors are certified Assistive Technology Professionals through the Rehab Engineering Society of North America (RESNA) or certified JAWS Instructors through Freedom Scientific.
We also offer full-service creation and remediation for Section 508-compliant PDFs. Whether you are starting from scratch or have existing documents and forms, we have the expertise to make them accessible. If training your team is what you have in mind, we can provide in-house training to meet your needs.
When it comes to accessibility, you want to choose the right service the first time. Our experience with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards testing extends from large federal government entities to local governments, from major corporations to local small businesses, and educational institutions of all sizes. We help you identify areas that need attention and provide education for your team to help you maintain accessibility standards in the future.
